The Short Version
I've spent more than 25 years in technology, most recently as Vice President of Platform Engineering, where I led a global engineering organization of 125+ people and helped a healthcare technology company modernize its entire technology foundation. Forward OnQ is where that experience meets a simpler idea: small and growing businesses deserve the same caliber of technology leadership, without needing to hire a full-time executive to get it.
My Background
I bring more than 25 years of experience in technology, from small business systems to large enterprise SaaS platforms used by millions of people. Over that time, I've built expertise across:
- Software & application development: from small projects to large, complex SaaS platforms
- Cloud infrastructure: including major modernization and migration efforts
- Vendor management and technology budgeting: often overseeing tens of millions of dollars in combined spend
- Technology finance: budgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives
- M&A technology integration: leading the technical integration of multiple organizations before and after acquisition, aligning systems, tools, and teams into one functioning whole
- Global team leadership: managing technology teams spread across multiple countries and time zones
- AI implementation: proven, measurable results, including significant gains in productivity and efficiency from real AI adoption, not just theory
I've spent my career learning what works, and just as importantly, what doesn't, so the businesses I work with now don't have to learn those lessons the hard way.
Why Forward OnQ
Most of my career has been spent solving technology problems for large organizations with the budgets to match. But the businesses that often need clear technology thinking the most, growing companies without a dedicated tech leader, usually can't justify (or don't want) a full-time executive hire.
Forward OnQ exists to close that gap: bringing the caliber of technology leadership large enterprises rely on to businesses of any size, on a schedule and budget that fits where they actually are today.
Alongside that consulting work, I'm also building a portfolio of AI-powered apps, because after decades of leading technology for other people's products, I wanted to build some of my own.
Rooted in Oshkosh
Forward OnQ is based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and I work with businesses locally and remotely across the country. I earned both my MBA and my Bachelor's in MIS & Finance at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I care about this community, and I'm glad my work lets me stay rooted here while still doing work of national scale.
